The best high protein yoghurts at Woolworths are tubs like YoPRO Protein Yoghurt Vanilla (15.2 g protein for 381 kJ, about 91 kcal) and Farmers Union Greek Style High Protein Vanilla (15.3 g protein for 462 kJ, about 110 kcal). For a ready meal, Strength Meals Co, sold at Woolworths, gives 27.8 to 41.2 g protein per pack for roughly 1,170 to 2,080 kJ (about 280 to 497 kcal) across the meals we checked.
All figures come from Woolworths product pages or the brand’s own site. Here is how they compare.
Where do these Woolworths numbers come from?
Yoghurt figures are from the nutrition panel on woolworths.com.au product pages. Ready meal figures are from strengthmealsco.com.au, the brand’s own site, because the Woolworths pages for those meals would not load when we checked. Everything was checked on 1 October 2026, per serve as labelled.
Australian labels give energy in kilojoules. We converted to kilocalories (kcal) at 1 kcal = 4.184 kJ and rounded to the nearest kcal, so a figure may differ by one or two from a kcal value a brand prints. Ranges and recipes change and stock varies by store, so check the pack.
What is the best high protein yoghurt at Woolworths?
Woolworths product pages, per tub, checked 1 October 2026.
| Yoghurt | Serve | Energy (kJ) | Energy (kcal) | Protein (g) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| YoPRO Protein Yoghurt Vanilla | 160 g tub | 381 | 91 | 15.2 |
| Farmers Union Greek Style High Protein Yoghurt Vanilla | 150 g tub | 462 | 110 | 15.3 |
Both give about 15 g of protein, which is a solid snack or breakfast base. YoPRO has a little less energy per tub. Add fruit or a small handful of muesli and you have a filling breakfast for well under 1,000 kJ.

What are the best Woolworths high protein meals?
Strength Meals Co, brand site, per pack, checked 1 October 2026. Sorted from lowest energy.
| Meal | Pack | Energy (kJ) | Energy (kcal) | Protein (g) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classic Chicken Dinner | 330 g | 1,170 | 280 | 27.8 |
| Mongolian Beef with Vegetables & Brown Rice | 350 g | 1,520 | 363 | 29.8 |
| Hot Honey Chicken | 350 g | 1,540 | 368 | 33.2 |
| Spaghetti Bolognese | 350 g | 1,670 | 399 | 27.4 |
| Lemon Herb Chicken | 350 g | 1,800 | 430 | 40.1 |
| Butter Chicken | 350 g | 2,050 | 490 | 38.5 |
| Chicken Stroganoff | 350 g | 2,080 | 497 | 41.2 |
The Classic Chicken Dinner is the lightest, at about 280 kcal. The Lemon Herb Chicken is the standout for protein per kilojoule, with 40.1 g for 1,800 kJ. For bigger appetites, the Stroganoff and Butter Chicken give around 40 g protein for under 2,100 kJ.
Which gives the most protein per kilojoule?
Our calculation, grams of protein per 1,000 kJ, from the figures above:
| Product | Protein per 1,000 kJ (g) |
|---|---|
| YoPRO Protein Yoghurt Vanilla | 39.9 |
| Farmers Union High Protein Yoghurt Vanilla | 33.1 |
| Classic Chicken Dinner | 23.8 |
| Lemon Herb Chicken | 22.3 |
| Hot Honey Chicken | 21.6 |
| Chicken Stroganoff | 19.8 |
| Mongolian Beef with Vegetables & Brown Rice | 19.6 |
| Butter Chicken | 18.8 |
| Spaghetti Bolognese | 16.4 |
The yoghurts win per kilojoule because they contain no rice or pasta. The meals are complete dinners, so a lower ratio is expected. Pasta-based meals sit at the bottom.
Can I lose weight eating Woolworths ready meals?
Yes, if they fit your daily energy target. A ready meal with a printed label is one of the easiest things to track, because you know exactly what is in it.
A simple high protein day from this list, added up:
| Meal | Food | kJ | kcal | Protein (g) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Breakfast | YoPRO Protein Yoghurt Vanilla | 381 | 91 | 15.2 |
| Lunch | Classic Chicken Dinner | 1,170 | 280 | 27.8 |
| Dinner | Lemon Herb Chicken | 1,800 | 430 | 40.1 |
| Total | 3,351 | 801 | 83.1 |
That is only about 801 kcal, far too little for a whole day. Add fruit, vegetables, wholegrains and healthy fats to reach your target. Use the calorie deficit calculator to find yours and the protein calculator for a protein goal. Our guide on how much protein per day explains the research.
For meals you cook yourself, a photo in the photo calorie calculator gives a quick estimate. In Calo AI you can correct a portion by voice or text.
How do I compare high protein products in the supermarket?
Australian labels make this easier than most, because every Nutrition Information Panel has a “per 100 g” column as well as “per serve”. Use the per 100 g column to compare two products fairly, since serve sizes differ between brands.
Look at energy (kJ) and protein side by side. A product with lots of protein and little energy is the efficient choice for a calorie deficit. Then check sugars, especially in flavoured yoghurts, and the serve size, because a 900 g tub holds several serves.
The Health Star Rating on the front of the pack is a general guide, not a protein score, so the panel on the back is the better tool for this job. Finally, compare like with like: a yoghurt is a snack, while a ready meal is a whole dinner, so their protein per kilojoule will never match.
Safety note: do not eat under 1,200 kcal (about 5,021 kJ) a day without medical supervision. If you are pregnant, under 18, or have kidney disease, diabetes or a history of an eating disorder, speak to your GP or an Accredited Practising Dietitian before changing your diet.
