If you want a free HealthifyMe alternative that still gives you AI photo logging, an AI coach and Indian meal plans, Calo AI does all three on Android and in the browser without a subscription. HealthifyMe’s free version covers calorie and macro tracking, while its AI coach Ria, photo auto-tracking and personalised diet plans are part of paid plans.
Disclosure: this page is written by the Calo AI Team, and Calo AI is our app. Every HealthifyMe fact below comes from HealthifyMe’s own website, official store or app store listings, checked on 1 October 2026. Plans and prices change, so check their pages before you decide.
A quick naming note: HealthifyMe now uses the name Healthify in its apps and on its website. We use HealthifyMe here because that is still what most people search for.

Is HealthifyMe free or paid in 2026?
Both. HealthifyMe is free to download on Google Play and the App Store, and both listings show in-app purchases. Its own HealthifySmart page has a “Smarter than Free” table that spells out the split:
- Free: calorie tracker, macro and micronutrient tracking.
- HealthifySmart (paid): Ria personal AI coach, auto-tracking with HealthifySnap, personalised diet plan, home and gym workout plans, unlimited healthy recipes.
HealthifyMe’s official store also sells a Healthify+ plan, which lists AI coach Ria, macro and micronutrient tracking, Snap photo logging, recipes and weekly insights. We could not find an official page that says how many photo logs, if any, a free account gets, so check inside the app before relying on it.
HealthifyMe free hai ya paid? Simple words mein: basic calorie tracking free hai, lekin AI coach Ria aur photo auto-tracking ke liye plan lena padta hai.
How much does HealthifyMe cost?
These are the prices shown on HealthifyMe’s own store on 1 October 2026, in Indian rupees. They were displayed as sale prices, so they may already be different when you read this.
| Plan on the official store | Listed price |
|---|---|
| Healthify+ Plan, 1 month | ₹399 |
| Healthify+ Plan, 12 months | ₹1,499 |
| HealthifySmart, 1 month | ₹999 |
| HealthifySmart, 12 months | ₹4,199 |
| Healthify Rx Smart (medical weight loss plan with GLP-1 support), 3 months | ₹10,000 |
The App Store India listing shows different amounts for in-app purchases, for example “Smart Plan: DIY Health Plan” items from ₹499 to ₹4,199 and “Healthify+” items at ₹499 and ₹1,899. The price you see at checkout is the one that applies.
Is HealthifyMe good?
For many Indian users, yes, and it is fair to say so. Here is what it does well, based on its own pages:
- Indian food data. HealthifyMe says it offers “the largest database of 10,000+ Indian foods”.
- Scale. Its Google Play listing shows more than 1 crore (10 million) downloads.
- Human coaching. You can buy one-on-one coaching with nutritionists, dietitians and trainers.
- Medical and device options. It offers GLP-1 medication tracking, the Healthify Rx Smart plan, a smart scale and CGM plans.
- Integrations. The Play listing says it syncs with Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin and more.
Where it may not suit you: if you only want an AI tracker and do not want a subscription, its own comparison table puts Ria and Snap auto-tracking outside the free version.
Which app is better for Indian food?
It depends on how you like to log. HealthifyMe is built around a large, searchable Indian food database, which suits people who like picking “2 roti” from a list. Calo AI is built around photo, voice and text logging, so you snap your thali or say “dal chawal with one roti” and get an estimate. You can also check single items against our food pages, such as calories in roti.
Photo results from any app are estimates. Portion size is the hardest part, especially with mixed Indian dishes, oil and ghee. In Calo AI you can correct a result by voice or text, and describing the dish improves accuracy. Our guide on how accurate AI calorie trackers are explains where photo logging works and where it struggles, and our guide to counting calories in Indian food covers the manual side.
What does Calo AI give you for free?
Every feature is free in Calo AI:
- AI photo meal scanning, plus voice and text logging.
- Personalised meal plans using dishes from your own country’s cuisine.
- An AI nutrition coach.
- An intermittent fasting timer with plans from 12:12 to 20:4.
- Weight and macro analytics, and step tracking.
- Seven languages, including English and Hindi.
The free version is paid for by ads, including an ad before a meal scan, and there is a short timer between AI coach messages. Premium removes the ads and the waiting. It does not unlock extra features.
Your calorie target uses the revised Harris-Benedict equation with an activity multiplier and a 250, 500 or 750 kcal deficit. It never goes below 1,200 kcal for women or 1,500 kcal for men. You can sense-check your number with our TDEE calculator.
When is HealthifyMe the better choice?
Be honest with yourself about what you need. HealthifyMe is likely the better pick if:
- You want a human coach or dietitian checking in on you.
- You need a medically supervised plan, such as their GLP-1 support plan, or want CGM data.
- You use an iPhone and want an App Store app. Calo AI has no iOS app; on iPhone it runs as a web app in the browser.
- You prefer picking foods from a curated Indian database over photo estimates.
- You already pay for a plan and it is working for you.
How do you switch from HealthifyMe to Calo AI?
- Save what matters. At the time of checking we could not find a self-serve food log export on HealthifyMe’s public pages. Note your current weight, goal weight and recent calorie averages, or take screenshots of your progress charts.
- Cancel any renewal where you paid: Google Play, the App Store or HealthifyMe’s own store. Deleting an app does not usually cancel a subscription.
- Install Calo AI from Google Play, or open the web app on any phone or computer.
- Set up your profile with your weight, height, age, sex, activity level and pace. Calo AI calculates your calorie and protein targets.
- Log your next meal by photo, then correct anything that looks off by voice or text.
A note on safety: if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, or have diabetes, PCOS, kidney disease or a history of eating disorders, speak to a doctor or registered dietitian before following any calorie target from any app. Real results vary from person to person.
